THRALL

After you finish reading this, please turn your phone completely off.

Welcome Home. Here, you don’t have to worry.

This production will run 60 minutes.

We recommend that you sit separate from your party to experience the THRALL at its fullest.

We do not encourage you to move around the space with the actors, however, please feel free to stand at any point if you need a better view of obstructed action. Actors will be using all available space so watch your feet!

If you’d prefer a less intense sensory experience, we recommend sitting in the room with the red rug.

In case of emergency, please calmly exit the building through the door you came in.

THRALL is the debut production of Abyssal Zone Collective, a group of artists who are committed to bringing devised horror theater to the city of Chicago.

ENSEMBLE

Katy Campbell (Kelseigh)

I feel fear all the time. I always have.

I feel ready for sleep. It’s the only reprieve.

I feel like sharing this fear will be a gift. Whether the gift is for me or the receiver, I’m not sure yet.

Do you feel that?

Dylan Connor (Quinn)

I feel like the musicians who keep playing on the Titanic while it goes down.

I feel like the iceberg.

I feel like the lifeboat.

Do you feel that?

Catherine Healey (Beatrice)

I feel just fine. I feel happy to work collaboratively. I feel stimulated when working creatively. I feel the weight of my hair against the bottom of my headband. I feel my feet in my shoes. I feel the earth move under my feet. I feel the sky tumbling down. I feel like I’ve heard that somewhere before. I feel my heart start trembling whenever you’re here. I feel wired. I feel like talking more to you. I feel a pulse between us. I feel that.

Do you feel that?

Syd Luse (Charlie)

I feel in tune with the universe.

I feel like I’m talking too much.

I feel whole.

Do you feel that?

Madison Meeron (Morgan)

I feel rejuvenated after catching the laughing jag. That’s what my grandma would call a deep-bellied laugh attack. I miss her.

I feel in touch with the childlike part of myself. Sometimes, at the store, I have to pet all of the stuffed animals. Oftentimes I have to buy one too.

I feel fear even when I know I’m safe.

Do you feel that?

Lizzy Mosher (Blue)

I feel like soaking my brain in horrors has finally paid off.

I feel surrounded by splendored things.

I feel the room is getting bigger.

Do you feel that?
